As Exhibition Director at Helitech International, John Hyde oversees the smooth running of the event. He takes us through the key reasons on why the show is an unrivalled platform for visitors and exhibitors alike to source new business opportunities and inspire the future of the rotorcraft industry.
Why do you think someone should attend?
Helitech International delivers new business opportunities and showcases the latest innovative products and solutions, meaning visitors can enhance their services and tap into new growth areas. Attending offers unrivalled networking opportunities and the chance to join a series of concise and content-rich seminar and workshop sessions to get an insight into industry trends, challenges and up-to-date technical information. It’s a great platform to add value to your business in a time and cost-effective manner.
How would you sum up Helitech International in three words?
New business opportunities.
Which session are you most looking forward to?
We’re really excited to introduce a range of new content to the show this year, for the first time we are working with manufacturers to bring Technical Workshops to the show. Our aim is to allow visitors flexibility to tailor their own programme to get the most out of the event.
The 2016 programme will have a particular focus on delivering value for operators with the launch of the Operators Forum. Operators from across the globe will have the chance to network with like-minded individuals and discuss the evolving rotorcraft industry and ways of improving missions. As those attending the session determined the topics of discussion, I’m looking forward to hearing their thoughts on the most important issues facing the industry such as, how operations can be made more profitable and missions improved.
I’m also looking forward to the UAV focused session and hearing how they are being integrated into traditional rotorcraft operations. Experts from a range of fields including HEMS and SARS will be present to discuss how this exciting new technology could revolutionise the industry.
How can exhibitors make the most out of the show?
Helitech International attracts rotorcraft operators and key decision makers who are looking to source hardware, technology and services to develop their businesses. Exhibiting gives you a great platform to network, build brand recognition and promote solutions to new customers, therefore adding value to your business and ultimately increasing sales. Exhibitors that invite existing and potential new clients to meet with them out in Amsterdam will make the most of the show, in this industry you can’t just wait for them to walk past your stand.
It’s also important for exhibitors to get involved with the pre-show marketing opportunities, there are plenty of openings to get your company name front of mind and liaising with our PR company Storm is always a good place to start.
Who would you most like to be stuck in a helicopter with?
It would have to someone that could make me laugh, someone like Graham Norton would be great company.
