Richie McCaw, who played 148 test matches for the New Zealand rugby team, announced his retirement from the sport after captaining his country to back-to-back World Cup victories. Since then, he has been working towards becoming a professional pilot and recently picked up his commercial fixed wing licence.

However, it is helicopters that have really caught the eye of the rugby superstar, and he now turns his attention to gaining a licence that will enable him to fly passengers in his favoured form of aviation.
